Physician

 Dr. Jeff Obayashi grew up in Richmond, BC, and has been a family physician for 15 years.  His main sport in childhood was Judo which sparked an interest in peak performance and sports psychology.  This program integrates his UBC B.Sc. in genetics with his work as a doctor.  Before UBC Medical School he created an English-immersion program in Northern Thailand sparking a joy for teaching.  As a rural family physician in Vanderhoof for several years, Dr. Obayashi enjoyed practicing in many areas of medicine including running a St. Paul's Hospital satellite stress testing program to provide remote communities with cardiac care.  He now works as a family doctor in White Rock and at the LifestyleRx diabetes reversal program , and as a Hospitalist at Peace Arch Hospital.
